Vermiglio
A mountain village in Trentino in the last year of the war, and a family in which everything important is left unsaid.
Delpero films a schoolteacher, his many children and the deserter who arrives among them, and lets the drama play out in glances, silences and the ordinary violence of a father deciding what each of his children is allowed to become. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at Venice in 2024 and Italy's Oscar entry that year.
