Le Roman de Jim
A man raises a child who is not biologically his, and then has to survive the return of the father who is.
The Larrieu brothers follow a quiet, unassertive man who becomes a parent almost by accident and then finds that love confers no legal standing. Karim Leklou won the Cesar for Best Actor in 2025. The film is unusually clear about attachment, about what makes someone a parent, and about grief that has no recognised name.
