Two childhood friends in Seoul are separated when one emigrates, and reunite in New York two decades later to weigh the life and love they never had.

Nora and Hae Sung are close as children in Seoul until Nora's family emigrates. They reconnect briefly online as young adults, then part again, and finally meet in person in New York two decades later, when Nora is married and Hae Sung is visiting from Korea.
The film treats a lifelong longing as a mourning of the unlived life and of the earlier selves each person left behind, held without blame or resolution. Premiered at Sundance in 2023.
