My Name Was Sabina Spielrein
The recovered story of Sabina Spielrein, patient of Jung, correspondent of Freud, and an original analytic thinker in her own right.
Built on letters and diaries found in Geneva in the 1970s, the film follows Spielrein from her treatment by Jung in Zurich, through her training and her writing on destruction as a cause of coming into being, to her return to Russia and her death in 1942. It is also a study of how a woman's contribution went missing from the official history.
