The Wisdom of the Dream

The series traces Carl Jung's life across three parts, from his Swiss childhood and early clinical work through the break with Freud and the private inquiry later recorded in the Red Book. It sets the biography beside the ideas that grew from it: the structure of the psyche, the complexes, the movement toward individuation. Archival photographs, home footage and location filming in Zurich and Bollingen carry the account, while the 1959 Face to Face interview lets Jung speak in his own voice.

The pacing stays unhurried, closer to a filmed conversation than a survey, and the reliance on figures trained within analytical psychology gives the account a clear point of view rather than a detached one.
