Sundance 2004 premiere
Andrew, a young actor kept numb by years of psychiatric medication, returns to his New Jersey hometown for his mother's funeral. Staying with his estranged father, he stops taking his pills, reconnects with old friends and meets a young woman who pulls him back toward feeling.
The film follows the lifting of a depressive numbness that has masked an unmourned loss, allowing long-avoided grief and its causes to surface. Premiered at Sundance in 2004.
