Truth and Interpretation: Introducing Lacanian Ideas for the Clinic, Part 2
, In person, The Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis
In the second session Philip Hill turns to truth and interpretation. What is the ego's relation to the truth, he asks, and can an interpretation be true, and would it matter if it were? Setting Freudian and Lacanian theory against object relations, he follows the ties between trauma, language and image, and takes up countertransference as a clinical problem. Again no prior knowledge of Lacan is assumed.
