This series of five seminars explores the concept of the death drive, examining its controversial history and influence within psychoanalysis, art and modern thought. Participants will study the development of the idea in the writings of Freud, Andre Green, Jean Laplanche and Jonathan Lear, alongside cinema, literature and painting. The sessions are with Josh Cohen and are suitable for practitioners, academics and students.
