Niya B: Ekdysis, film and talk
, Online, The Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis
The artist Niya B reworks the myth of Tiresias, changed into a woman for seven years, into what she calls a transgender mythopoesis. Titled after the shedding of reptile skin, Ekdysis moves through ritual, sound and a single channel film to think about ecology, gender and equity in mental health together. The screening and talk sit within the Site's In Relation series, where artists meet analytic thinking.
