After his father died suddenly in 2018, Nick Blackburn found himself researching Chernobyl, work that became his book The Reactor. Reading from that and from other writers, he traces lines between psychoanalysis and the figure of the hysteric, between artworking, trauma and the law. It is a talk about psychoanalytic writing as its own kind of thinking, made under the pressure of grief.
